Actalent Environmental Engineer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Key Responsibilities:
Environmental Assessments: Conduct environmental site assessments, including Phase I and Phase II assessments, to identify potential environmental risks.
Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze environmental data from samples of air, soil, water, and other materials.
Report Preparation: Prepare detailed reports on environmental investigations and findings, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Project Support: Assist in the design and implementation of projects aimed at environmental protection, such as water reclamation facilities and air pollution control systems.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that projects comply with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and standards.
Field Work: Perform fieldwork, including site inspections and environmental monitoring, to support project requirements.
Technical Support: Provide technical support for environmental remediation projects and legal actions.
Typical Duties:
Monitoring Environmental Programs: Monitor the progress of environmental improvement programs and ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers and project managers to provide technical support and ensure project success.
Permitting: Assist in obtaining, updating, and maintaining environmental permits and standard operating procedures.
Public Communication: Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including government agencies, clients, and the public.
Education and Certification Requirements:
Educational Background : A bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or a related field such as civil, chemical, or general engineering.
Internships and Experience: Practical experience through internships or cooperative education programs is highly beneficial.
