MCW: SARGEANT HEALTH CENTER Facilities Project Manager in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: Purpose Serves as the design professional and project manager on facility renovations and new construction projects. Responsible for all phases of project execution from conceptual design to final occupancy to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Primary Functions Review internal work requests and discusses project scope with supervisor, conduct site survey, collect data, create design solutions and detailed drawings in compliance with architectural principles and construction codes. Complete management of capital projects from project programming and planning through construction administration and project closeout, including project budget and schedule, and coordination of internal and external constituencies. Manage outside consultants and vendors related to the project development and implementation. Project management activities require interaction with various users and constituencies to achieve consensus on the proposed design solution and implementation. Participate in the planning for both short-term and long-term capital projects with members of planning, budget, finance, and Campus Operations Participate with other Campus Operations core groups on decisions related to physical facility and systems upgrades to meet institutional requirements. Conduct periodic studies related to facility and site requirements of the organization on and off campus locations. Participate on various internal and campus-wide committees relating to facility development and long-range planning. Negotiate and manage final contracts with external entities in support of facility planning functions. Working with the following internal contacts: Senior VP - Finance & Administration, Department Chairmen, Campus Operations, Budget, Legal, Finance Working with the following external contacts: Senior management of affiliated institutions, architectural and engineering firms, contractors, vendors, local and state review boards, local and state officials Using the following software programs: AutoCAD, Primavera, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Professional, Powerpoint, Photoshop, Archibus, Sharepoint, Workday, Microsoft Project Preferred Schedule: Typical Business Hours Position Requirements: Specifications Appropriate experience may be substitute education on equivalent basis Minimum Required Education: Bachelor\'s Degree Minimum Required Experience: 5 years of progressively responsible academic or healthcare experience relating to facility planning, project management, architectural design or construction administration.
