It is the responsibility of Restaurant Operations to operate in a fiscally responsible manner, contribute fair-share support to the University, and sustain adequate reserves for future growth.
Job Summary
Under the general supervision of a Food Service Supervisor, the incumbent will act as lead worker for the various operations throughout the food service operations, this may be within a commercial kitchen unit within the store, or other areas as assigned. The hours will vary based on final placement but the incumbent may be responsible for opening and/or closing procedures and daily operation of the unit(s) providing fast food type products as appropriate to the unit. Other duties include training and leading student supervisors, subordinate students and Temporary Staff in food/beverage production, sanitation and customer service.
The Department of Retail Services is hiring to fill TWO Full Year position.
Tentative Schedule: Monday-Thursday 2pm-10:30pm, Sunday 11am-7:30pm
or
Tentative Schedule: Tuesday – Friday 2pm-10:30pm, Saturday 11am – 7:30pm
Weekends availability is needed if there are special events and based on operational need. Position also requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
ServSafe Food Handler or similar certification
Experience leading and/or training staff
Experience with food production and proper handling procedures
Experience with electronic food ordering/inventory systems
Cash handling experience in a customer service environment
Target Salary Range $18.00 - $21.00 an hour
