IMPACT Fund Development Director in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

POSITION SUMMARY: The Fund Development Director plays a critical role within IMPACT. As such, it is positioned for success, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working in close partnership with executive leadership; program directors, managers, and supervisors; and direct service positions. The Fund Development Director at IMPACT will: Be able to succinctly articulate the capabilities of the programs and of the organization; Develop and maintain an intimate understanding of the funding streams for all programs & services; Work in partnership with the Chief Operating Officer to develop and implement an annual fund development plan to achieve fundraising goals; Maintain the case statement; Represent the organization in the community; Work in partnership with Director of Marketing & Communications to develop and manage annual giving campaigns; Support, supervise, and, in their absence, complete the work of the Grant & Database Specialist: Research and apply for appropriate grant opportunities that match the funding gaps of the programs & services and of the organization; Navigate multiple application portals; including private and public foundations as well as local, state, and federal government; Track, manage, and report on all applications; regardless of award status; Maintain donor database and run reports, as needed PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: With support from the Chief Operating Officer, the Fund Development Director at IMPACT will: Develop and implement an annual fund development plan; Identify individual, corporate, faith-based, and foundation prospective donors; Cultivate relationships; Provide information and feedback leading to the development of collateral and solicitation materials; Manage the fund development dashboard and provide scheduled and as-needed reports; Support board member engagement in fundraising efforts; Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws as well as IMPACT processes and procedures to ensure donor confidentiality; Stay up-to-date on philanthropic trends; Actively participate in and support the organization\'s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: ABILITIES/SKILLS: Demonstrated excellence in writing, with an ability to match style and language to RFP and funder requirements Strong verbal communication and presentation skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator Flexible and able to multi-task, can work within a fast moving environment while driving toward clarity and problem solving solutions Technical documentation, formatting, and layout skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and contributions from multiple team members Team skills, including ability to communicate effectively and support team success Commitment to process improvement Deadline oriented, with an ability to set priorities and successfully meet timelines Passion, humility, insightful, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven and self-directed QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 5 years of nonprofit experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in fund development department at a nonprofit organization Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience Bachelor\'s degree preferred Reside in the State of Wisconsin and within 50 miles from the IMPACT office. ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply Online: https://impactinc.isolvedhire.com/jobs/1287166
