Actalent Mechanical Engineer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will design or redesign cost-effective components, equipment, and systems adhering to engineering standards and employing computer-aided design with a focus on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles. Responsibilities include preparing engineering drawings for components and assemblies, processing engineering change orders, and preparing bills of materials in the MRP/ERP system. You will analyze and approve designs from suppliers, determine the suitability of commercially available components, and manage non-conformances. This role also involves providing ongoing technical support, mentoring less experienced team members, and managing projects from inception to shipment.

Work Environment

This position requires working in an office environment with frequent visits to the production floor to oversee and evaluate designs and processes. You will lead and oversee a team of drafters, ensuring accuracy and compliance in their drawings.
