We are in the process of recruiting a Operations Finance Manager for our operations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. This role is central to our financial operations, playing a crucial role in managing manufacturing and inventory costs, offering financial analysis to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and participate in the development of the annual budget, routine forecasts and monthly financial close process. The Operations Finance Manager will also work closely with the Operations leadership and report to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the monthly financial closing process for cost of goods sold and inventory, preparing inventory and cost accounting entries and account reconciliations.

• Lead the maintenance of the Company's standard costing system to ensure company standards accurately mirror current raw material, manufacturing, and overhead costs.

• Generate costing models and analysis to support new business ventures.

• Supervise and develop the Cost Accountant team.

• Review and scrutinize gross profit/margin and manufacturing-related variances, partnering with the relevant departments to minimize these variances.

• Deliver accurate and timely inventory and costing reports to the operations teams to aid the Company's continuous improvement approach.

• Collaborate with supply chain and operations departments to discuss and resolve issues in areas such as production, purchasing, accounts payable, receiving, and shipping.

• Monitor transactions and procedures including inventory movement, scrap, cycle counts, and cost of goods to ensure accuracy and compliance with corporate policies.

• Coordinate physical inventory and cycle counts with external auditors, manufacturing, and logistics.

• Work with operations and sales teams to analyze inventory for potential excess and obsolete reserves and drive financial recovery for the product where possible.

• Lead the development of the annual manufacturing budget and routine forecasts.

• Serve as financial support for Operations leadership team for capital investments and cost reduction/efficiency projects

Requirements • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Cost Accounting Manager or similar role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is preferred

• Familiarity with Crystal Reports

• Proficiency in using Epicor

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to handle all Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proven experience in Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Expertise in Cost Accounting

• Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM)

• Knowledge of Purchase Price Variance

• Familiarity with GP and Great Plains Dynamics

• Experience with Month-end Close Activities

• Ability to prepare Month-end Financial documents

• Experience in making Month-end Journal Entries

• Ability to prepare Month-end Reports

• Experience with Annual Physical Inventories

• Knowledge of Inventory Accounting
