Operations Support Specialist - Residential Care Center Job Code:2024-SPECIALI-030 Location:Milwaukee Department:Residential Treatment Center FT/PT Status:Full Time Job Responsibilities: Operations Support Specialist RESIDENTIAL CARE CENTER, Type II WISCONSIN COMMUNITY SERVICES Position Summary: This position assists and supports the daily operation of the residential care center through a variety of food service, clerical and administrative support functions. The Center is licensed under DCF 52 to provide a Type II residential treatment facility for 24 youth (ages 13-17). Residents include adjudicated youth under Department supervision including youth in the Milwaukee County Accountability Program; Multi-system youth (Delinquency) in transition; Wraparound Milwaukee youth; Youth who are receiving Aftercare upon release from a juvenile correctional facility; and, Other youth as approved by CYFS. Essential Functions: Complete building walk-throughs to ensure compliance with safety regulations and licensing requirements. Monitor laundry logs; youth and building laundry. Prepare and serve food per DHS 190 and other relevant codes. Clean and maintain the food service area. Assisting with inventory control for food, serving items and supplies. Monitoring food expiration dates in the refrigerator and pantry. Maintaining the 1st floor supply closet and 2nd floor cleaning supply closets. Follow food safety procedures and regulations. Making the monthly food menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack times. Communicating and tracking food allergies or special nutritional needs including nutritional care plans and dietician directed diets. Operating food preparation equipment and machinery such as stoves, ovens, induction burners, mixers, freezers, and other kitchen appliances. Performing food preparation duties such as rinsing, peeling, slicing, and dicing fruit and vegetables. Weighing and measuring ingredients. Wrapping, date-labeling and storing food items. Following guidelines to ensure correct serving temperatures and adequate portion control. Control access to the pantry and monitor inventory and waste weekly. Assist in ordering, picking up and delivery of food. Monitor refrigerator and freezer temperature logs. Responsible for ordering supplies for Bakari Center including but not limited to; food, basic youth needs (clothes, hygiene, etc.), cleaning supplies, office supplies, and all other supplies needed for a 24-hour resident care center. Monitor building cleanliness (including common areas, resident rooms, and exterior of building) repair list, and organization within the center through daily checklists. Clean spills, messes...
