RECREATION ADMINISTRATION RECREATION SUPERVISOR ARTS & HUMANITIES in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary Milwaukee Recreation is seeking an individual to join its Before/After-School team as the Recreation Supervisor of Arts and Humanities Programs. This individual is responsible for expanding out-of-school-time arts and humanities-related experiences for Milwaukee\'s youth. Primary responsibilities include oversight of the Partnership for the Arts & Humanities grant program and High School Arts Internship program; regular monitoring of site-based arts/humanities programs; technical assistance support to contract partners; analysis of program data and nurturing of program partnerships. The ideal candidate is data-driven, creative, results-oriented, and passionate about the impact arts and humanities programs can have on Milwaukee\'s youth. Qualifications Bachelor\'s Degree in Arts, Arts Education, Humanities, or related field preferred. May substitute two years of experience for one year of education. A minimum of one (1) year of professional experience coordinating community or school-based arts and humanities-related programs. A minimum of one (1) year in monitoring public or private funded grant programs. Responsibilities Establish and manage a large network of arts and humanities partnerships. Work with the Before and After-school Team and the Arts Manager to provide increased arts and humanities opportunities for Milwaukee\'s youth. Assist in the oversight of the Partnership for the Arts & Humanities and Arts Internship Programs. Assist with the design and implementation of the Partnership for the Arts & Humanities grant process including but not limited to: Developing the application review and award process utilizing an online grant management system Assembling a Community Review Panel to evaluate applications and recommend allocations to Milwaukee Recreation leadership. Ensuring youth voice is incorporated into the grantmaking process Develop and monitor professional services contracts with participating partners. Host information sessions and technical assistance workshops to promote the Partnership for the Arts & Humanities and Arts Internship Programs Visit schools and partner locations to ensure contract compliance and quality arts experiences for all participants. Serve as a liaison between community arts/humanities partners and schools/the district. Assist with collecting and analyzing program data to monitor and demonstrate program impact Plan and execute the annual arts and humanities showcase featuring the work of the Partnership for the Arts & Humanities partners.
