Job Title: Senior Project Controls Manager
Job Description
This role is responsible for both cost and controls of the project. The individual will support maintenance and engineering/design and outage projects at North Lake Anna Power Plant.
• Overall responsibility for compliance of assigned projects with project controls standards - both from applicable contract documents and project controls policies/guidelines
• Participate in developing, establishing, and maintaining the company’s project cost/control systems
• Participate in proposal and estimating efforts to ensure continuity between project estimates and baselines
• Develop & maintain a detailed, resource-loaded schedule in P6
• Assist the project team in converting project bids to setting up the complete, accurate project baseline (budget, schedule), in the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (SAP, P6)
• Set up project controls systems (cost codes, project rules of credit) in SAP
• Review the project contract and ensure that all the contract conditions (invoicing, reporting, change management, etc.) are applied and fulfilled for project set-up, project tracking and reporting, and project closeout
• Monitor the project performance and ensure that all the project control system is properly implemented; responsible for detailed review & analysis of earned value and other key performance indices
• Generate all required project status reports for internal management and for the customer, including the overall project Dashboard, project performance report
• Administer & support change management for assigned projects, in compliance with contract conditions (subcontractor claims, change requests, dispute resolution, etc.)
• Review and analyze the cost & schedule reports with the project team, and suggest corrective actions to maintain reasonable performance/productivity; provide timely feedback to project managers with regards to activities trending away from the baseline or forecast
• Prepare and update project cash flows and forecasts
Hard Skills
10+ Years of experience within project controls
Cost Experience (SAP/excel/oracle, populate into cashflow, Earned Value, CPI, forecasting, and how earned value management fits into that forecasting, variance analysis)
1 million - 15 million budget on projects (E&C projects)
Schedule Experience: P6 Experience
Critical Path Analysis, weekly and monthly SPI analysis, lookahead preparation
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Mineral, Virginia. Per diem offered 7 days a week!
Work Environment
Work Location: Onsite at Lake Anna. 4 x 10s during engineering. Outage work will require 7 x 12s at times. Outage work doesn't kick off until 2025.
