In this role, you will ensure federal financial compliance, accurate state spending, compliant cash management and accurate reporting. This position supports effective financial management by developing grant budgets, and by implementing reconciliation of all Federal Grant Awards and reconciliation of teh agency internal systems to the state accounting system. Duties include:
- Completing financial and accounting reconciliations so that the agency compiles with regulations set forth in federal regulations;
-Requesting the release of federal funds utilizing teh specific electronic federal system;
-Implementing and monitoring the annual spending plan;
-Fulfilling financial and accounting requirements of various federal and state reports.
Minimum Qualifications
3 years of related professional experience in finance or accounting
Experience must include:
Experience preparing and reviewing budgets and/or fiscal reports sufficient to identify problems quickly, research and evaluate relevant issues and formulate solutions.
Experience with large-scale accounting systems.
Preferred Qualifications
-Experience with state legislative processes, relevant state laws, statutes, rules, regulations, and policies governing the use of state and federal funds;
Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, Business or Finance;
Experience with State of Minnesota Financial Systems including Budget Planning & Analysis System (BPAS), Statewide Employee Management System (SEMA4), Appropriation Maintenance Application (AMA), Statewide Integrated Financial Tools (SWIFT);
Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition;
Grants management experience. Includes managing federal or non-federal funding.
