Robert Half Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role involves supervising the accounts payable team and regularly interacting with accounts payable tasks in the finance industry.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the accounts payable team to ensure accuracy and timeliness in processing payments

• Regularly reviewing and updating customer credit records to maintain accuracy

• Conducting supervisory duties such as team management and performance assessments

• Utilizing SAP and Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis

• Actively working in accounts payable, including processing customer credit applications

• Managing expense reports and ensuring all expenses are correctly accounted for

• Researching and resolving discrepancies in accounts and general ledger

• Engaging in continuous process improvement initiatives within the accounts payable department

• Taking appropriate actions on customer accounts based on monitoring results. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Accounts Payable (AP) or a similar role.

• Demonstrated expertise in handling Expense Reports is required.

• Proficiency in Supervisory Management is crucial for managing teams effectively.

• Ability to Research Discrepancies and resolve financial discrepancies efficiently.

• Profound knowledge of General Ledger accounting practices and principles is mandatory.

• Familiarity with SAP software for managing business operations and customer relations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for managing data, creating charts, and performing various data analysis operations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.

• Must have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks according to business needs.

• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
