Essential roles and responsibilities of the Aircraft Maintenance Planner: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Prepare and maintain calendar maintenance schedules Coordinate with Operations/Dispatch to assure aircraft routing such that maintenance check intervals are utilized efficiently while maintaining maximum schedule flexibility Monitor all time-controlled items to ensure compliance within prescribed limits Coordinate with production supervision to assure scheduled work is compatible with available manpower Determine routine maintenance requirements and prepare all required documents Match workload for each aircraft to available downtime and station capabilities Monitor, coordinate and assign deferred maintenance items and issue for correction. Plan, forecast and schedule troubleshooting and/or terminating action to close out deferred maintenance items. Coordinate with subject matter experts as necessary to define Return to Service Criteria including but not limited to technical engineering, technical representatives, and external vendors Build work packages in computer-based tracking systems in accordance with Maintenance Planning policies and procedures. Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines Assist in any other duties and projects as directed by the Maintenance Planning leadership Classification:Full-time, Non-Exempt Working Location:This position is open in Minneapolis, MN Supervisory Responsibility: None The qualifications we are looking for in an Aircraft Maintenance Planner include: Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, problem-solving skills Able to work beyond scheduled shift time to accommodate flight operations Microsoft Office, proficient in Excel. Able to work independently and be proactive in the department Highly motivated, able to accept new challenges and adapt to a changing work environment Able contribute new ideas or procedures to the department Must be a team player Preferred Skills One to two years Aircraft Maintena ce Planning experience A&P License Bachelor's degree in related field Previous experience with maintenance planning for 737 NG Experienced in using AMM, IPC, SRM, CMM and MPD Experience with using Computer based tracking systems Work environment This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.
