NOW HIRING 2ND SHIFT MACHINIST
Shift: 2nd shift (3pm-1am) Monday-Thursday
Pay: $28-30/hr DOE
Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Machinist to lead and support a team of 3 employees on the 2nd shift. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of CNC machines, including:
2 VF2 Haas Mills
2 mini Haas Mills
1 VF 4SS 5-Axis Haas Mill (all with Haas controls)
1 Lathe with a Fanuc Controller
Key responsibilities include:
Performing tool changes, offsets, and editing programs
Setting up machines and parts for production
Leading and directing the 2nd shift team of 3 employees
Effectively communicating and managing workflow during the 2nd shift
The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating CNC machines and leading a small production team. Experience with set-ups is a plus. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist
Proficient in operating Haas and Fanuc controlled machines
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
High school diploma or equivalent required

Work Environment
Small machine shop that manufactures a variety of equipment for industries including gaming, medical, packaging, military, and hydraulic components. The shop is temp-controlled, well-lit, and clean. There are 11 total employees at the company, and candidates have the opportunity to learn as much as they are willing to learn. The materials worked on are primarily aluminum with tolerances that are not very tight. Most production runs are 100-200 parts, with one legacy run around 500,000 parts.
