Actalent Construction Assistant Project Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Title: Construction Project EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will work alongside a senior project manager, project executive, and other project engineers to manage the construction of a 100-unit townhome complex, followed by a 200-unit apartment complex and a 24-unit townhome complex.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the construction of multi-family and commercial projects.

  • Support project managers in the office and superintendents on-site.

  • Handle RFI (Request for Information) processes and change orders.

  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Essential Skills

  • Experience as a project engineer on commercial or multi-family construction projects.

  • Proficiency in managing wood frame construction.

  • Ability to support project managers and superintendents effectively.

  • Experience with RFI and change order processes.

  • Prior experience working for a general contractor on commercial projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Work Environment

This role involves working both in an office setting and on construction sites. The team has a significant backlog of work extending through 2026, ensuring long-term job stability and opportunities for growth. The work environment emphasizes safety, quality, and collaboration among team members.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00
