BBBS accomplishes its mission by: Providing deep and intentional partnerships with our youth Building and sustaining deep relationships with our mentors Building a strong organizational foundation Creating a workplace culture that represents who we serve Transforming our community to understand the importance of our youth Primary Function of the Position The purpose of this position is to provide high-quality mentoring and youth development services to BBBS participants in its mentoring programs, with the goal of ensuring safe, positive and healthy mentoring relationships for youth that result in positive long-term outcomes. Educational Programs Coordinators develop and lead activities or programs such as: site-based programming for elementary, middle and high school matches, and for youth ages 12 and older; college and career readiness, match activities and related work. Educational Programs Coordinators ensure appropriate professional documentation of all steps within the agency s data systems, and according to BBBS quality standards. BBBS Educational Programs Coordinators carry out assigned roles in the BBBS service delivery model (SDM), upholding the agency s policies and practices and effective best practices in mentoring. These services may vary, depending upon the needs of the agency and individual work assignments, and include: supporting youth and volunteer recruitment, enrollment and assessment; making matches, providing match support, and conducting match closure. Position Specifics Department: Educational and Teen Programs Supervisor: Director of Educational and Teen Programs Job Type: Full-time, Exempt Hiring Salary Range: $39,000-$43,000 Essential Job Functions Provide quality, customized, professional support and case management to volunteers, youth and families. Develop and maintain professional relationships with program participants (mentors, mentees, parents/guardians, and partners) Engage with participants through regular communication, match support contacts, case management, coaching, connections to resources, and program meetings/match activities Plan and implement programming curricula and in-person and virtual activities, including site-based mentoring sessions, special events, and trainings For assigned sites/participants, conduct necessary steps to professionally assess youth and volunteers, propose and make matches, and provide on-going match support Execute and track all grant requirements, if applicable Uphold the agency s policies and practices and effective best practices in community and site-based mentoring. Through regular communication, monitor relationship health, child safety, and participant compliance with the agency s match-related rules and policies Document all match support and related services in the agency s data system and administer evaluations Create a positive public awareness of BBBS and represent the agency as the mentoring program of choice to the community and contribute to the overal
