Actalent Electrical Systems Engineer in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Title: Electrical Systems EngineerJob Description

Work closely with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into well-designed, implemented, and documented solutions. Establish functional requirements and performance targets for electrical machine systems. Develop new ideas, conduct Proofs-of-Concept to validate and de-risk development, and work as part of a cross-functional team to execute complex engineering projects. Hold and participate in Design Reviews, technically design machine control systems focusing on requirements, interfaces, and reuse/maintenance of solutions. Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and design services teams to implement and maintain solutions. Gain a deep understanding of electrical system elements and development processes, including wiring harnesses, PCBAs, embedded software, and regulatory testing. Apply industry standards and ensure design compliance, evaluate design risk using tools like DFMEA, and in partnership with the mechanical design team, generate system design innovations that deliver value to the customer.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Minneapolis, Minnesota and some days remote.
