UMPhysicians Faculty Physician - Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care (Assistant or Associate Prof in Minneapolis, Minnesota
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota and the University of Masonic Children's Hospital seek candidates for a full-time Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist. The rank of this faculty position is at the level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor on the Academic or Master Clinician Track depending on qualifications About the Appointment: Clinical responsibilities include patient care within a 24 bed multidisciplinary mixed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Educational responsibilities include supervision, instruction, and mentoring of pediatric residents, medical students, and pediatric fellows. Through this mission the Department seeks to improve the lives of children in our community, nation, and the world. The University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital is a state-of-the-art children's hospital that opened in April 2011. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit supports 12 CVICU beds and 12 medical/surgical beds with approximately 1000 admissions annually. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited ACGME Pediatric residency and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine fellowship training program. Completion of Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Fellowship and/or 5-7 years of experience in a Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Unit. (REQUIRED) Board certified in Pediatrics. Board eligible/certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in the State of Minnesota Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges Ability to work in the United States.
