National Marrow Donor Program Foundation Engagement Strategist - Minneapolis or Home Based-210000D0 in Minneapolis, Minnesota

POSITION SUMMARY:This position, based in Minneapolis, MN or home-based anywhere in the U.S., will partner with other leaders within Be the Match Foundation and the broader organization (especially Patient Outcomes & Experience) to expand and diversify the base of philanthropic support through ownership of our Direct Response Program and engagement of VIP audiences, such as our patient & donor populations.This position will work very closely with leaders within the Foundation to ensure collaboration & visibility into this work and the ways that it will benefit our various revenue streams, as well as the ways it will impact our marketing & stewardship approaches.This position represents and has the authority to speak on behalf of Be The Match Foundation and Be The Match/NMDP and has accountability for significant cross function and cross role accountabilities, with both Foundation and Be The Match/NMDP. This position may establish new philanthropic opportunities and partnerships to broaden the constituent base or diversify solicitation approaches, as well as develop programs that are capable of sustained growth over time.ACCOUNTABILITIES:This position will be responsible for:Direct Response:Strategy, Revenue portfolio, Agency management (in partnership with Mktg leader), Budget allocation (in partnership with Mktg leader) and executional direction for internal team (actual execution & asset trafficking to be done by marketing team)Establishment of key audience engagement frameworks:Developing a sustainable process and engagement strategy for key audiences, especially those without existing frameworks (ex: Grateful patient), and then prioritizing growth efforts on high-value audiences."Grateful Patient" Program:Expansion of current pilot program to create a broad and sustainable approach to connecting with our patients & their families, as well as other VIP audiences like our donors, to ultimately engage them with philanthropic opportunities. This will require the creation of a blueprint for success when it comes to initial patient and donor opt-in/outreach, as well as a development of strategies for how we will engage these audiences in Foundation communications, engage them in philanthropic opportunities, and create pathways into all of our Foundation program areas (leads into our DR program, P2P fundraising, Corporate Partnerships & Mid- and Major giving). In addition to strategy, this role would be responsible for associated revenue projections (although the dollars would reside in other revenue portfolios), Agency management & Budget allocation (in partnership with other leaders as appropriate), and executional direction for internal team (actual execution & asset trafficking to be done by marketing team)Additional "VIP audience" strategy:Building upon existing work for our Mid-level Circle of Hope audience, create a strategy to expand our focus on giving levels/giving societies to additional groups (both by dollar threshold and audience type). Additionally, consult on how giving society strategy could be dovetailed into other areas (for example: corporate partnerships/B2B, with expertise from the corporate team and activation via marketing).The development of this strategy would include the framework for leveling and the engagement journey in which we'd interact with each audience.
