Thrivent Financial Manager, Integrated Planning in Minneapolis, Minnesota
This role is responsible for leading the team of marketing strategists on the Brand & Integrated Marketing team, providing direction on prioritization, distribution of projects across the team and support and guidance to team members. This position understands company goals and objectives to ensure projects are resourced and prioritized accordingly, defining KPIs and OKRs to measure success. This role also contributes to projects themselves, planning and leading the development and execution of organizational Brand, Go-to-Market and CRM marketing strategies and tactics that align with key enterprise/department/program goals. The Marketing Strategist Manager brings extensive marketing/program development expertise and relies on high degree of business acumen to determine what data and analytics are required to drive key business decisions, recommendations and to continuously improve marketing results.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
As leader of the marketing specialists, ensures prioritization and assignment of campaigns across the team; creates monthly calendars and dashboards; provides recommendations to continuously improve campaigns and helps develop the team, building skills and acumen
Assesses, guides and coaches execution of marketing plans; acts as liaison with creative, compliance and other internal groups to provide superior experience.
Leads large and complex marketing programs/initiatives that drive brand recognition and affinity, productivity and membership growth. Leverages extensive experience to drive strategic development that aligns with key corporate strategies and goals; manages the work of cross-organizational sub-teams/work streams.
Works with research and analytics teams to determine business opportunities, model consumer behaviors, gather field insights/feedback and track results. Leverage data and analytics to drive improvements to marketing programs/initiatives that result in greater ROI.
Continuously seeks ways to leverage technology to drive more effective and impactful marketing strategies and tactics and to help drive corporate CRM strategies.
Develop trusted relationships with key internal/external stakeholders to collaborate and influence across the organization contributing to the development of consumer offers that attract target segments, drive membership growth and increase member loyalty.
Translates strategic vision to drive flawless tactical execution; provides coaching to help grow organizational marketing acumen.
Leverages market data and analytics to influence success of marketing programs/initiatives and to continuously improve upon marketing results. Gathers field, member and stakeholder feedback to ensure alignment and to optimize effectiveness. Continues to build marketing intelligence through external and internal data sources.
Uses vertical marketing expertise/experience to contribute to larger marketing initiatives and projects. May be charged with leading cross- sub-teams and work streams and providing work direction in support of larger marketing initiatives. Leverages experience to drive development that aligns with key corporate strategies and initiatives.
Contributes to the development of marketing strategies that support the organizational Brand and Go-To-Market strategies; responsible for development of actionable tactics that support productivity and new member growth. Plans and creates positioning statements when needed to support messaging development.

Responsible for managing to program budgets; tracking ROI of programs/initiatives.
By providing team leadership, will need to manage leading a team as well as leading their own projects. This will require the ability to manage time effectively, proactively provide guidance and be accessible.
In leading cross-organizational teams, the challenge is often getting everyone on the “same page” and driving to the same result. Through clear communication and articulation of accountabilities, this role can help alleviate some of the challenge.
May be asked to lead initiatives that change strategic direction frequently. Challenge is to maintain team alignment, have a plan B, stay positive and continue to drive for results.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Required:
7-10 years of marketing or related experience.
College degree in marketing or related field; masters a plus but not required.
Experience in a specialized area of marketing (direct marketing, e-marketing, communications, analytics, brand positioning, social networking media, etc.) and/or project/program management.
People leadership skills, managing and directing work, helping manage priorities
Excellent communication skills and exceptional customer service mindset.
Demonstrates strong project management and collaboration skills
Applies a development mindset that uses creativity and marketing expertise to develop new, more effective and more efficient marketing approaches.
5+ years relevant experience in consumer financial services and with a distributed sales force preferred - in banking, lending, debt solutions, or fintech
Ability to influence up/down and across a large organization.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $130,210.00 - $176,167.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
