This role is crucial in ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and security of our databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of data quality. Key Responsibilities: Input data into the database from Epic electronic medical record and other sources as available. Ensure data integrity and ensure that data is up to date. Run database reports when requested by study team. Answer queries from study team and troubleshoot database problems with study team. Database Maintenance: Ensure the efficient operation of existing databases, including regular updates, backups, and security measures. Data Integrity: Perform regular audits and data validation to maintain accuracy and completeness of information. Compliance: Ensure all database activities comply with university policies and relevant legal regulations, including data privacy and security standards. Collaboration: Work closely with other IT staff, faculty, and administrative personnel to support data-related needs and initiatives. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and/or relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience in database management, preferably in an academic or research environment. Proficiency with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and database query languages (e.g., SQL). Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
