Ameriprise Financial Operations Business Analyst II in Minneapolis, Minnesota

"Provide critical support through in-depth analysis and reporting, delivering actionable insights and recommendations to drive business decisions. Identify opportunities for process improvement, refine existing reporting models, and ensure data accuracy. Serve as a subject matter expert on medium-sized projects, helping to develop and implement solutions that address challenges. Collaborate across teams to optimize business performance and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesComplete bank movements and tracking for Ameriprise Bank SweepDevelop solutions for complex challengesIdentify and recommend changes to policies, procedures, and business modelTrack Broker Dealer cash balances dailyComplete numerous audits on behalf of Broker Dealer to ensure we remain compliant with regulationsComplete unclaimed check suspense daily reconciliation and control sheetResponsible for processing check reissues, balance sheet activities and reviewing loan checksRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in MIS, business, Mathematics, Economics, computer programming or applicable experience1+ years of analyst experiencePreferred QualificationsKnowledge of one or more Business Intelligence and Data Mining Tools (SQL, python etc.)Experience in visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)Money Market Sweep knowledgeExperience with BETAStrong focus on qualitative and quantitative data analysis including statistical techniques, general data analysis, and trend analysis among othersAbility to quickly grasp and articulate the essence of complex issues/data; adept at operating with both high-level concepts and detailed analysisProven ability to effectively collaborate with others, initiate action, and adapt to changeStrong relationship and communication skills in working with colleagues and influencing customers on recommendations and analysisAbility to thrive in rapidly changing environment - proactive, flexible and able to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneouslyAbout Our CompanyWe're a diversified financial services leader with more than $1 trillion in assets under management and administration as of 2022.
