Summary of Role (Purpose)
The Associate Operations Engineer serves as a technical resource responsible for the support of legacy and cloud-based information technology solutions in current and future state. This role includes building, maintaining and supporting endpoint, audio/visual, infrastructure, security, server, telephony, and system components on premises or cloud.
Job Responsibilities:
Sets up and maintains technology systems following documented procedures in partnership with System IT.
Provides technology functionality support, including preventative maintenance and responding to security vulnerabilities.
Assists with platform and system access in accordance with Bank security policies.
Performs basic diagnostic and environmental testing.
Perform MAC’s (moves, adds and changes) related to the technology environment.
Interacts with vendors as necessary to maintain technology components and environment.
Uses system maintenance tools that automate processes to enable greater scale and speed.
Participates in groups/committees related to processes, standards, and best practices.
Participates in an Agile development or DevSecOps environment where applicable.
Documents procedures and process guidelines for supported technology systems.
Provides rotating 24 by 7 on-call administration and support.
Collaborates with other engineering team members. Works under direction, making decisions with general guidance and instructions, seeking assistance as indicated.

Preferred Education, Certification, Skills and/or Experience
HS Diploma Required, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience,
OR a Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field, preferred.
Basic knowledge and experience within technology subject matter area.
Proficient with analysis and troubleshooting of complex problems or issues.
Capable of understanding and editing automation code using scripting methodologies.
Comfortable in a DevSecOps culture with knowledge or delivery experience using Agile methodologies.
May require skills in the following areas: Windows Endpoint OS, Mac OS, Jamf, AirWatch, FileNet, Active Nav, Windows Server OS, Linux, Cisco, Avaya, Dynatrace Monitoring Tool, SAFR, FISMA, Tableau, Aternity, Telecom, Analog and Digital cabling, Mobile devices, Apple iOS, SCCM, Unified Communications Platforms (Cisco UCM, Webex, MS Teams, Zoom).
May require scripting experiences with the following languages: PERL, Python, PowerShell, Shell, or other tools such as Terraform/Cloud Formation, Ansible/Chef/Puppet or Crestron SIMPL

Environmental and other conditions required: For positions in Information Technology that support Supervision Regulation Credit: The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System mandates individuals authorized to access banking supervision and regulation Confidential Supervisory Information (CSI) must be "Protected Individuals", which covers two categories of persons: U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents and other non-citizens who apply for citizenship within six months of becoming eligible and, if offered a position, will sign a Declaration of Intent to become a United States Citizen. This position is authorized to access CSI and as such requires the incumbent to be a Protected Individual. For positions in Information Technology that support Treasury Services: The United States Treasury Department ("Treasury") has imposed citizenship requirements for certain positions that support the Reserve Bank's Treasury fiscal agency functions and/or spend time working on Treasury security sensitive matters. These positions have been risk rated by Treasury and incumbents must meet the corresponding citizenship requirements of the rating and provide acceptable documentation evidencing such. This Information Technology position provides access to Treasury security sensitive matters, is risk rated HIGH, and as such requires the incumbent be a U.S. citizen.
