Dorsey & Whitney Recruiting / Talent Acquisition Coordinator in Minneapolis, Minnesota

We are seeking a Recruiting / Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join our Lawyer Recruiting team in our Minneapolis office. In this role, you will assist with coordinating law student and new lawyer associate hiring for all Dorsey offices. Are you detail oriented and excel at managing multiple tasks simultaneously? In this role, you will: Work closely with the Recruiting Manager to execute search strategies to fill law student and new lawyer associate staffing needs, including capacity analysis, internal due diligence and authorizations, as well as tactical placement of job postings to maximize qualified applicants. Assist in the review and screening of law student and new lawyer associate applications. Manage candidate tracking through software such as viRecruit and Smartsheet. Collect candidate materials and other requested documentation from law student and new lawyer associate candidates or third parties. Coordinate and arrange interview schedules for law student and new lawyer associate candidates and collect all post-interview evaluations. Draft offer letters and related documents. Complete necessary pre-hire diligence items for law student and new lawyer associate hires, including attorney licensure verification and processing conflict checks and background checks. Prepare orientation schedules. Assist with coordinating a 10-week Summer Associate Program, including but not limited to onboarding summer associates, soliciting and reviewing project evaluations, coordinating and executing multiple summer program events within budget, and managing department spotlight events. Prepare materials for Recruiting Committee meetings. Assist in creating and providing recruiting reports as requested. Review, submit, and track law student and new lawyer associate reimbursement requests and related invoice statements. Assist as needed with lateral lawyer hiring and onboarding. May perform other duties not listed above, including special projects. What we re looking for: Bachelor s degree and at least 1 year of legal recruiting experience, or at least 3 years of recruiting experience at a professional services firm/corporation. Law firm recruiting experience strongly preferred. Will consider candidates with at least 1 year of law firm marketing/business development experience or law school career services experience. Excellent interpersonal skills, including tact and sensitivity. Strong attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Sound judgment. Ability to maintain highly confidential information. Ability to manage workload to meet competing demands. Demonstrated knowledge of various spreadsheet, database and internet search tools.
