Essential Employees are expected to report to campus during a University State of Emergency (reduced operations or campus closure) unless specifically directed by the Department not to report or if directed by civil emergency or medical authorities not to report for health and safety reasons. As an Essential Employee, you must report to campus even if the closure is less than 3 days. Duties/Responsibilities: Conduct, oversee, and analyze data from multiple complex experiments (40%) -Genome editing of primary human gdT cells -Assess rates of transposon integration in primary gdT cells -Assess functionality of modified gdT cells -FACS panel analysis of gene edited gdT cells Design and oversight of new experimental plans and procedures (40%) -Develop novel methods for transposon based engineering of gdT cells and develop novel gdT CARs. Grant writing and design of experiments for grants (10%) Routine lab maintenance (5%) Materials acquisition and laboratory organization as necessary Supervision (5%) Supervise undergraduate research assistants and laboratory technical personnel who will aid in performing multiple complex experiments. Qualifications Required qualifications: PhD in molecular, cellular, genetics, immunology, cancer biology, and/or virology. Substantial research and publication record.
