National Marrow Donor Program Senior Enterprise Risk Management Analyst- Hybrid-24000043 in Minneapolis, Minnesota

POSITION SUMMARY:Please apply online using a laptop or desktop computer.This position is responsible for the execution of NMDP's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Program. This role will with work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Risk Management Committee to coordinate the daily activities of Enterprise Risk Management, including risk management system administration and coordination with senior and executive leadership, risk owners, as well as internal and external auditors. This position requires risk management expertise/experience as well as accounting / audit experience; strong critical thinking and communication skills; and the ability to quickly learn and inspire others to continuously improve the ERM function. This position can be remote (US) or hybrid. #LI-Remote #LI-HybridCheck out our video Saving Lives: It's the Best Job EverACCOUNTABILITIES:Responsible for monitoring and advancing the organization's risk management framework, governance, and collaborative leadership based on NMDP's ERM framework.Build and maintain a deep understanding of organizational mission, values, structure, operations, risks, dependencies and compliance requirements.Proactively collaborate with senior leaders, key stakeholders across business lines and risk management partner to ensure the execution of efficient and effective risk management activities in accordance with company policies and related regulatory requirements.Act as NMDP point of contact for controls and process audits and reviews, facilitating communication between key NMDP personnel, evidence gathering and managing project timeline.Understand and utilize Enterprise Risk Management tools, practices, and policies that align with applicable regulations and strategic imperatives of the organization.Define and maintain standard operating procedures for ERM framework components (risk register, Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSAs), issue management, and incident management)Facilitate the identification of risks, development of mitigation plans, and monitoring of risk management issues.Develop methodologies for identification/monitoring of Key Risk IndicatorsMaintain and enhance business relations with department leadership to ensure effective communication and coordination of risk management activities.Help support a risk-aware culture that balances emerging opportunities with risk, compliance, and safety.Aid in the creation of presentations on ERM priorities to the Board, Audit & Finance Committee, and Executive Team using metrics and qualitative support.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge of:Current trends in Risk Management, Strategy, Governance & Controls.Data analysis and qualitative reasoning.Advanced computer skills in MS Office and risk management systems.Ability to:Exhibit strong skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.Problem solve and anticipate risks and opportunities while maintaining a vision for continuous improvement.Exhibit strong communication skills.Work independently with minimal supervision.Collaborate with cross functional teams.Meet deadlines and prioritize work.Demonstrate outstanding relationship building capabilities.Discretion in handling of confidential information and dataEducation and/or Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Management, Accounting, or related fieldFive to seven years of experience with risk management, audit, finance, or business controls; preferably including public accounting experience.Strategy, Control, Risk, or Compliance for Healthcare, Non-profit, or Federal Contractor or directly related experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Additional qualifications that may make a person even more effective in the role, but are not required for consideration)Professional certifications are preferred (CPA, CFA, CIA, CISA, RIMS, FRM, PRM, etc.)Non-profit and healthcare industry experienceWorking knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management systemsDEI COMMITMENT:As part of our values, we are committed to support ng diversity, equity, and inclusion at NMDP.
