As a Senior Service Center Representative, you will provide couples with their marriage license, process a new driver's first permit, and help residents understand their real estate tax payments. Every day, our service centers process hundreds of transactions and each one is unique to the customer. Location and hours: These positions will initially be located at the Government Service Center: 300 South 6th Street, Minneapolis, 55487. Work hours are currently Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The schedule is subject to change per business needs to any time between the hours of 7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Employees must have flexibility to work varying locations and shifts dependent upon the location in the future. About the position type: These are full-time, benefit earning positions. These roles require working face-to-face with the public on-site. Starting September 1, 2021, all new job offers are conditional based on the candidate being fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Fully vaccinated means 14 days after receiving the second dose in a two-dose vaccination series approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on a full or emergency-use basis, or 14 days after receiving a single-dose vaccine approved by the FDA on a full or emergency-use basis. After a conditional job offer is made, the candidate must show proof of full vaccination prior to their start date. A COVID-19 vaccination card from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a vaccination record from your doctor s office, or a personal digital vaccination record constitutes sufficient proof. The candidate must also attest they are vaccinated by completing a form on the first day of employment. Reasonable accommodations to this vaccination requirement will be considered upon request by a candidate for medical or religious reasons as required by applicable law. In these positions, you will: Provide the following list of services: marriage applications, licenses and certificates; driver's licenses, permits and IDs; motor vehicle tabs, plates, titles and registrations; water craft, snowmobile and ATV registrations; birth and death certificates; hunting and fishing licenses; auctioneer, transient merchant, lawful gambling, liquor licenses, and precious metals dealers; notary services and notary commission filings; cross country ski licenses; marriage officiant filings; voter registration; and real estate tax payments. Prepare, process, and sell a variety of licenses, permits, registrations, certificates, and applications for county and state agencies. Collect data for daily, weekly, and monthly transaction reports and accounting functions; assist in maintaining inventory records for licenses. Provide work direction and training to staff, carry out delegated responsibilities in the absence of supervisors, and assist with opening and closing procedures. Answer technical transaction questions and resolve customer complaints. Candidates with fluency in other languages in addition to English are encouraged to apply.
