If you've led teams in systems thinking, possess experience in the creative application of technology within multiple building types, HGA has an exciting opportunity for a you as a Sr. Security Technologist! This is a leadership position expanding the HGA Building Technologies department's offerings into Security scopes of work. This position will work directly with HGA Principals and Project Managers to differentiate HGA from its competitors through the application of security systems and analysis and build upon current department success. Additionally, this position will lead the Building Technologies design scope on projects; meetings with clients ideate solutions, determine project requirements, and lead a design team to create construction documents for projects. The HGA Building Technologies department is responsible for a wide range of low voltage building systems, including: Wired and Wireless Voice and Data Networks Audiovisual systems including presentation, digital signage, etc. Security systems including access control, video surveillance, duress, etc Real Time Locating Systems Building Management/Automation Systems This position will have expertise with Threat and Vulnerability Assessments (TVAs), Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), Security Operation Center (SOC) design, and physical electronic security systems. Security work is expected to primarily focus on projects within HGA's Public and Corporate market sectors; however, security-based work will also occur within our higher education, arts and culture, science and technology, and healthcare market sectors. Experience and knowledge with the other technologies that the Building Technologies department works within are a bonus. In this role you will: Works closely with HGA Principals in prepositioning for potential projects, creating proposals, and participating in project interviews Leads meetings with client leadership and stakeholders to discuss project and security related goals, concepts, budgets and design details Strategizes with internal and external teams to develop current and future security solutions for application to our client's organizations Works with internal and external teams to develop and implement decision making processes and build consensus around project related decisions Works with client teams to understand current technologies and develop strategies and processes to evaluate and implement new technologies Clearly and concisely communicates security concepts to technical and non-technical clientele Is the client facing Building Technologies lead, working with other Technologist's on the team to guide and educate the client leadership and stakeholders Plans and guides site survey activities to document existing building security systems Leads internal and external teams in technology visioning sessions to plan security strategies for immediate and future implementation Provides an example for the team to emulate in terms of professionalism and design excellence Works with internal team directing designers in design concepts and requirements to complete and deliver documents Directs implementation of standard procedures for project deliverable production, review, and issuance. Performs quality control for deliverables including presentation, packaging, adherence to standards, completene s, and timeliness You will need to have: A B.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other applicable design and engineering fields A minimum of 10 years of experience in the design of Security Systems including TVA, CPTED, SOC Design, and Electronic Security System Design (including Video Surveillance, Access Control, Perimeter Detection, and Intrusion/Duress) ASIS International CPP or PSP Certification Ability to achieve United States Security Clearances and are a United States Citizen Willingness to seek and obtain new certifications as needed to perform the role Manufacturer certifications in relevant design capabilities and systems/product understanding are a plus Salary Information: The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA's robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs.
