Atterro Staff Accountant in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Hunter Hamilton is collaborating with company in Minneapolis seeking a new Staff Accountant to join the team! The Staff Accountant is a multi-tasker and fast learner that is an integral part of the accounting Team. Precise communication, interpersonal and analytical skills are vital to be successful in this role. Our Staff Accountant works closely with the team to accurately process subscription billing in a timely manner. This role will also maintain accounts receivable including weekly phone calls and customer correspondence. Our Staff Accountant will maintain financial records and ensure that financial transactions are accurately recorded. This role will also ensure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the GL. Lastly, our Staff Accountant will assist with year-end financial audit, tax compliance and ad hoc projects as requested Responsibilities include: Monthly process Customer billing accurately and timely. Assist Accounts Payable team member as needed. Assist with the timely preparation of accurate financial statements and reporting of key financial information. Participate in month end close, reconcile and review entries for accuracy as requested by Team members. Assist with audit document requests as needed. Assist with both federal and state tax preparation and fillings. Special projects as assigned. Professional experience / qualifications Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications and skills: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience 2-4 years' experience in Accounting roles Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook/Word/PowerPoint/Pivot Tables) Subscription based AR experience a plus Confirmed knowledge of accounting practices, and procedures QuickBooks' experience is helpful ADP Payroll Experience preferred Key leadership characteristics Learns quickly when facing new problems; a versatile learner who is open to change; analyzes both successes and failures for clues to improvement; experiments and will try anything to find solutions; quickly grasps the essence and the underlying structure of anything.
