Minnesota Visiting Nurse Agency Staff Nurse RN (0.5 FTE) - OB Testing Diagnostics Lab in Minneapolis, Minnesota
*SUMMARY* **We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse (part-time) to join our OB Testing Diagnostic Lab at the Clinic and Specialty Center in downtown Minneapolis. This position is a 0.5 FTE (5 shifts/ pay period), 8-hour day shifts.
*RESPONSIBILITIES* Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:
- Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
- Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
- Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
- Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
- Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
- Educating patient on their disease process
- Assuring continuity of care
- Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being
Additional Responsibilities
- Initiate NST and collaborate with the MFM to discuss reactivity and patient disposition
- Chart Review
- Report to provider as appropriate
_QUALIFICATIONS:_ Minimum Qualifications: * Graduation from an accredited school of nursing * Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota * One year of L&D or antepartum experience
Preferred Qualifications: * Three or more years in L&D or prenatal testing unit * Certification in area of clinical specialty * BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
