The hourly rate range is $20.80-$27.03 dependent upon qualifications and internal equity. Detailed Job Responsibilities: Collects used and contaminated equipment, instruments and supplies for sorting and decontamination Cleans supplies of contaminants, removes waste matter and operates and maintains decontamination equipment Prepares and packs decontaminated supplies for sterilization Monitors and operates the sterilization of equipment Examines supplies to ensure they are properly cleaned and sanitized Tests and reports any issues or problems with sterilization equipment Sterilizes, prepares, wraps and organizes equipment into instrument trays for use during medical procedures Prepares and delivers all necessary equipment and instruments for examinations and medical procedures Maintains records of sterilization procedures, sterilized items, equipment maintenance and supplies Promote a safe, equitable, and respectful environment in which concerns can be addressed effectively Qualifications Required Qualifications: Training and/or certification as a Sterile Processing Technician Proven work experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or similar role Demonstrated commitment to promoting a culture that respects and advances diversity and inclusion Must be able to stand on feet for the entire work shift, be able to lift 40 pounds chest high, and be able to bend and stoop repeatedly in the handling of materials. Technical skills and familiarity with sterilization techniques Strong attention to detail, vigilance and meticulous care on the job Good judgment and critical-thinking skills Manual dexterity Ability to work well independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
