Ameriprise Financial Vendor Manager (R23_0000001195) in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Join a well-established vendor management team driving key business relationships with business partners across Ameriprise Bank and affiliates of Ameriprise. This vendor management position will work closely with vendors, affiliates, and business partners to deliver third party and affiliate risk management oversight. The successful candidate for this role is a vendor and risk management subject matter expert with strong communication skills, the ability to function in a fast-paced environment, ability to collaborate cross-functionally and serve as owner of our Affiliates program. Key Responsibilities: Affiliates Program Manage an inventory of intercompany agreements and internal businesses in partnership with Finance. Identify and execute cost savings and cost avoidance through the contract renewal cycle. Own and manage all aspects of affiliate agreements including new requests, contract amendments, renewals, contract terminations and reporting. Maintain relationships with affiliate business owners, understanding affiliate regulatory requirements and manage associated reporting. Work closely with internal Business Partners, Legal, Finance, Enterprise Procurement, and Compliance to manage affiliates deliverables. Continue to refine the affiliates process management, and risk management activities. Vendor Management Vendor lifecycle including but not limited to: onboarding, oversight monitoring and issues remediation. Ensuring compliance with the Interagency Guidance on Third-Party Relationships: Risk Management. Maintain working relationships with Business Partners and Third-party Vendors to understand business requirements in delivery of products and services. Participate in sourcing and procurement processes related to new contracts, renewals, and amendments. Advise line of business on opportunities to avoid or mitigate risk. Engage Business Partners, and vendors on risk management deliverables to ensure compliance to Enterprise, Bank and Regulatory requirements. Adhere to the reporting requirements. Collect data to develop vendor scorecards that track performance, work directly with vendors on areas needing resolution and monitor remediation. Continuous updating of Archer and Vendor Management Tool on vendors requirements, risk assessments and questionnaires, performance scorecards and evidential documents. Lead governance meetings on service level metrics, issue management and contribute to an ongoing process of evaluating service quality. Participate in Vendor Risk Assessment calls and manage all subsequent actions with vendors. Conduct governance meetings with line of business and vendors. Manage third party vendor issues and communicate appropriately within the business. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of third-party risk management work experience. Proven track record of understanding third party risk management. Strong knowledge of banking, products and services. Strong communication and influencing skills across senior leadership levels. Tenacious self-starter able to work to a demanding schedule and deliver to specific deadlines. Strong Excel skills and experience with Word, Powerpoint and Teams.
