The Category Analyst will shape future growth for the category through analytics - leveraging a suite of tools and resources to deeply understand shoppers, category performance, retailer dynamics, and broader macro trends. You will have an opportunity to turn insight into action, building executional recommendations covering assortment, distribution, and merchandizing for the category. In this customer-facing role, you will partner with key stakeholders to provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise. You will be responsible for managing insights and data from multiple sources. You will build efficient solutions and capabilities to manage evolving priorities. * You will work cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders to unlock category growth.* You will develop opportunities, deliver category insights to drive strategy, lead shelf strategy via planogram recommendations, and champion the category shopper to fuel growth. This role includes vendor advisor/category advisor responsibilities with a large Canadian retailer. * Responsibilities:* * Deliver best-in-class insights and recommendations as an indispensable strategic partner to our stakeholders * Collaborate with one of Canada’s largest retailers to propel category growth * Uncover insights and leverage data-driven storytelling to support retail partners and drive influence with Hershey cross functional teams * Develop actionable recommendations in collaboration with key stakeholders * Lead the development and assessment of Planograms (using Space Planning software) across various store formats, departments, and sizes. * Leverage multiple data sources (including retailer point of sales data, Nielsen data, Numerator data, custom research, industry trend reports, etc.) to deliver answers to ad-hoc about category performance and opportunities * Present insights with confidence and clarity - effectively communicating with all levels of the organization and with our retail partners * Knowledge, skills, and abilities:* * Collaboration with multiple stakeholders * Customer or client-facing experience * Strong presentation skills with experience presenting to internal stakeholders or retail partners * Team-player * Experience in a previous vendor advisor or customer facing role considered an asset * Experience with syndicated data platforms (i.e. NielsenIQ, Numerator) considered an asset * Experience with Retailer POS & Loyalty platforms (Retail Link, LDIA, IRI, 1screen) considered an asset * Experience with Business Intelligence Tools (Power BI, Tableau) considered an asset * Education:* * Bachelor’s Degree required in Business or closely related field. * Experience:* * 2-5 years of sales analytics, category management, insights, or business analysis experience * Category management and/or previous vendor advisor experience is an asset * Benefits and Perks of Working at Hershey Canada:* * Of course… exposure to some of the finest chocolate and non-chocolate confectionery products. * Health and Wellness Reimbursement program as well as other great employee benefits. * Corporate social responsibility programs - because we should leave the world a little better than we found it * Fantastic reward and recognition programs. * Flextime with required core working hours of 9:30 am to 3:00 pm. * Working in a LEED certified and open concept environment. * Working for a company recognized as one of the best in the GTA! * Location:* * Hershey Canada's Head Office is located in Mississauga.
