GRAND COUNTY Facility Maintenance Technician - Old Spanish Trail Arena in MOAB, Utah
About the Position:
This position performs a variety of working level skilled and semi-skilled duties as needed to ensure efficient and effective facility upkeep, event coordination technical support, equipment services, security, exhibitor services.
Essential Functions:
- Building maintenance and minor repairs
- Purchasing supplies at the direction of supervision and with reference to budgeting constraints
- Seasonal maintenance duties as needed
- Operation of specialized equipment
- Preparing and attending events and activities as needed
- Providing excellent customer service
- Checking and servicing vehicles and equipment
- Making minor emergency repairs to vehicles and equipment

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Working knowledge:
- Use and care of mechanical tools
- Public and employee safety
- Equipment maintenance and repairs including hazards and safety precautions
- Minor building maintenance
- First aid and CPR
- Basic principles of rescue from confined spaces

Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school; AND
- Two (2) years of related experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Must pass pre-employment background check.
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to move objects weighing up to 80 lbs.
- Must obtain and maintain valid Commercial Class A Driver's License with N endorsement
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
- May be required to become Certified Applicator for control of noxious weeds
