Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
As a CNC Machinist, your key responsibilities will include setting up fixture components for jobs that require CNC Machining, understanding and functional use of CNC code and programming, and setting machine origins in accordance with the set-up instructions. You will also be expected to work to machine dimensions, maintaining close tolerances and correlated dimensions with a high demand for squareness, concentricity, finish and parallelism. In addition, you will be setting and loading all tools in conjunction with set-up instructions to complete assigned jobs. This role involves lifting various items weighing up to approximately 40 pounds.

Knowledge of machining methods, cutting qualities of metals and tools
Experience in 3-Axis Machining
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Ability to operate various cranes, material handling equipment and various types of machining equipment
Work Environment
You will be working in a Navy Shipyard machining parts that create propellers and propulsion systems for navy vessels.
