Robert Half is seeking a permanent Material Manager to become an essential part of a company's growing team. Your responsibilities as the Material Manager will include inventory management, analyze trends, strategic initiatives, and purchasing. Within this dynamic department, you will have an opportunity for career growth and advancement. The job site for the permanent Materials Manager is in the Monroe North Carolina area.

Additional Responsibilities include:

• Oversees activities related to procurement of a commodity, from intent to purchase through delivery and use of commodity.

• Supplier management including communication, optimization, storage, negotiation on contracts (pricing/terms/routing), corrective action for vendors.

• Resolve scheduling issues (i.e. lead times, material availability, etc.).

• Field questions on product, procedure, etc.

• Review orders for special items processing.

• Maintain supplier scorecards, set expectations and evaluate existing supplier base in relation to established cost, quality and delivery metrics.

• Achieve company, financial and department metrics.

• Participate in daily Production/Operational meetings.

• Assisting Windsor meeting year to year budgeted sales and profit.

• Assist in new employee training in scheduling; materials areas.

• Ensures the effective interactions with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, engineering or quality assurance.

• Leads and directs employee functions such as selection, hiring, and development of employees, conducting performance reviews and creating development plans.

• Follow up with vendors and department leaders

• Resolve scheduling issues (i.e. lead times, material availability, etc.)

• Field questions on product, procedure, etc.

• Meeting Material availability goals

• Meeting Inventory, turns, and year end physical inventory goals

• Attend Production/Operational meetings

• Negotiation & sourcing on raw materials required for operations

• Forecast production volume.

• Assisting Windsor meeting year to year budgeted sales and profit

• anage group leaders of reporting depts.

• Interview and select new employees for non-exempt openings in reporting depts.

• Assist in new employee training in scheduling; materials areas

• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by department manager.

• Other duties as assigned.
