Army Installation Management Command Laborer (Special Events) NA-02 in Monterey, California

Summary This position is located at USAG Presidio of Monterey, CA. This announcement is open and continuous; closing 07/16/2024 or until the position is filled. Responsibilities Responsible for providing operational support to activities who provides support to customers in various scheduled events and functions. Performs duties alone or as a member of a work crew. Responsible for conference room configuration, beginning with organizing tables, chairs, audio/video equipment from storage to actual setup of this furniture/equipment in accordance with established banquet/special event orders. Moves heavy items of furniture and office equipment as required for the applicable conference/meeting set up. Responsible for breakdown and proper storage of this equipment in an efficient and organized manner. Cleans latrines and interior of building as needed. Mows grass, and removes weeds. Trims, edges, and prunes shrubs and trees. Waters plants and cleans drainage ditches. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 1. Three months of laboring experience required 2. Must have the ability to use, control, and clean tools and power equipment used 3. Must have the ability to follow oral and/or written instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps without constant supervision of each task assigned Please Note: If providing a resume, the information provided on your resume should be clear and specific. Commuting area is defined as Monterey County, Santa Cruz County, San Benito County California. FWS Allowances and Differentials This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
