We are extending an opportunity for a Paralegal to join our firm in Monterey, California. The chosen candidate will be an integral part of our team, responsible for handling the fine details of civil litigation cases. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including processing legal documents, managing calendars, conducting research, and maintaining communication with clients.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting comprehensive and resourceful legal research

• Processing and preparing pleadings and other legal documents with high attention to detail

• Managing calendars effectively, ensuring all important dates and deadlines are noted and met

• Assisting in the preparation of trial exhibits and deposition materials

• Conducting interviews with witnesses as part of case preparation

• Utilizing electronic file systems for daily record-keeping and document filing

• Adapting to new technology platforms and maintaining proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Handling court filings and service of process procedures efficiently and accurately

• Maintaining and updating databases and tracking systems regularly

• Communicating effectively with clients, providing them with updates and addressing their inquiries.

Requirements • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a paralegal role

• Proficient in handling electronic files and organizing them in a systematic manner

• Experienced in court filings and familiar with legal protocols

• Capable of preparing pleadings for various legal cases

• Strong skills in conducting comprehensive legal research

• Proficient in calendar management and scheduling appointments

• Experienced in preparing trial exhibits and understanding their relevance

• Capable of handling depositions in a legal environment

• Skilled in interviewing witnesses and gathering relevant information for cases
