Canadian National Railway Company (CN) is looking for a highly motivated person to fulfill a full-time (40h/week) Intern, Assistant Project Manager – Facilities Management position in Montreal, QC from May - Aug 2025.
Job Summary
The Intern, Assistant Project Manager – Facilities Manager is responsible for collaborating with Facilities Management (FM) Project. The incumbent researches baseline information, which includes drawings, specifications, and project objectives. Additionally, the position supports the department’s activities.
Major Responsibilities
Participate and assist in current projects with CN Project Managers in the Company’s yards and buildings
Establish and organize a database of existing drawings covering the buildings across the CN network in the United States (US) and Canada
Understand the process of creating a project from inception to completion
Coordinate with FM staff across the network
Requirements
Knowledge of basic project phases, construction processes, and project financials
Knowledge of the principles and standards of buildings, including Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical Components
Communication and Interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and AutoCAD*
Preference will be given to candidates who wish to pursue a career in Construction Project Management, or Facilities Management*
Education
Student currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Building Engineering enrolled in the second or third year
Fluently bilingual both written and verbal (English, French)
