WSP USA Director, Enterprise Architecture in Montreal, Quebec

The Opportunity:

As part of the global cloud services team and Enterprise Architecture team, the global infrastructure solutions architect is responsible for overseeing and governing the technical design and implementation of global and regional deployment of computing, storage, backup and cloud solutions that are aligned with global standards.

In this role, the incumbent will work on several global and regional design and implementation projects. They will also work in close collaboration with third parties to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

What you can expect to do here:

Identify and propose specific IT standards, design strategies and initiatives to align solutions with client and corporate objectives, as well as with the industry’s best practices.

Review and analyze current core IT infrastructure technology and its ability to support the company’s strategic objectives.

Translate business issues/opportunities into technical solution requirements.

Liaise with third-party suppliers to coordinate and oversee deliverables and ensure compliance with global standards, architecture, processes and procedures.

Participate in the technical governance and strategic planning of global infrastructure and operations in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture.

Collaborate on global initiatives with geographically distributed team members.

Develop technical design documentation for new initiatives to support transition to operations

What you’ll bring to WSP:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field. Equivalent relevant experience may be taken into consideration.

7+ years of relevant experience.

Experience in managing multiple suppliers.

Excellent written and spoken English skills.

Experience in private or public cloud computing (Azure), infrastructure, IT infrastructure automation, advanced services and service delivery, including extensive experience in several technology areas (storage/infrastructure/computing/virtualization/security/applications).

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Organizational skills (prioritizing, meeting deadlines, managing multiple simultaneous projects) and excellent documentation skills.

Excellent analytical and diagnostic problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide solutions to identified problems.

Ability to communicate issues in a simplified manner for end users at all levels.

Experience in applying best safety practices in the design and implementation of initiatives.
