Your role

As Project Manager, your role will involve co-ordinating one or more digital projects. You will promote synergy in order to motivate, support and assign tasks among the various internal or external teams involved in your projects, ensuring those projects are delivered on time, on budget and on scope.

To this end, you will help review projects for feasibility, and recommend the best approaches for meeting the objectives of the deliverable. You will also plan the stage gates of each project’s life cycle, from pre-production to online release. Lastly, you will follow up with project participants and the members of all teams involved to ensure project progress, implement a risk mitigation plan and share the status of initiatives with stakeholders.

Note that we use a hybrid methodology (Agile and Waterfall).

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Assess, co-ordinate and optimize human, physical and budget resources as well as project activities.

  • Advise, guide and provide specialized expertise to others during the assessment, planning and development phases of projects.

  • Contribute to feasibility studies and risk identification.

  • Recommend solutions, keeping in mind management objectives and CBC/Radio-Canada policies.

  • Lead agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.

  • Cultivate self-organizing, high-performing team culture by promoting autonomy, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration, while assisting teams in identifying and overcoming obstacles to ensure smooth progress and value delivery.

  • Identify, define, track, and analyze key metrics to measure team delivery and performance.

  • Continuously assess and refine agile approaches and strategies to enhance team effectiveness.

  • Help negotiate agreements with project participants both in-house and externally, based on project needs.

  • Validate, with all experts involved, the various project development phases so as to ensure compliance with initial objectives; take corrective action as needed.

  • Throughout the project, assess and verify alignment with initial objectives.

  • Be responsible for accountability, including progress reporting.

  • Work with experts to find solutions to problems and limitations, be they technical or operational in nature.

  • Escalate blockers when support is needed.

  • Establish control processes for all project phases and ensure that acceptance criteria are met.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, master’s degree in project management or other relevant university degree, or equivalent experience

  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a similar position; digital marketing/communications experience is an asset

  • Experience with the digital product and campaign development process

  • Ability to oversee projects with a strong technical component

  • Experience with the Agile process (Scrum and Kanban); certification an asset

  • Experience with iterative delivery of value: releasing early and often to ensure that business value is realized quickly

  • Experience with the Atlassian software suite (Jira, Tempo and Confluence)

  • Knowledge of Google Workspace and the MS Office suite

  • Keen interest in digital and emerging technologies; passion for news and information is an asset

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional disciplines, instil trust among peers and influence others effectively and positively

  • Ability to quickly pick up new technologies and respond to change by learning and adapting

  • Ability to share what you have learned

  • Good judgment, initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent spoken and written French.

  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset .

Please note this is a contract position with an expected end on the 24 th of August 2025, renewable annually.
