Substitute Custodians needed for the Moon Area School District for the 2024 - 2025 School Year
Candidates should be flexible enough to work at any of the schools in the district. Several full-time openings are currently available, some of which are expected to run through the entire school year. We are also looking for custodians to work on a day-to-day basis, so if the candidates are only looking to work part-time or even as little as one day per week, these positions are often flexible enough to supplement the candidate's schedule. All positions are considered substitutes, however, the district may be looking to hire any of these candidates - they have hired at least one of our substitute custodians each of the last 4-5 years.
During the school year, custodian hours are typically second shift between the hours of 2:30pm -11:30pm, however, there are some daylight shifts that may become available from time to time. It is preferred the qualified candidate has reliable transportation as most schools in the district are not easily accessible by bus. All interested individuals should have some experience.
Custodians - $15/hour.
Clearances required within the last year:
- PA Criminal Background Check
- PA Child Abuse Clearance
- FBI fingerprints through the Dept. of Education
- Act 126 Clearance (online Mandated Reporter training)
- Arrest/Conviction Record form (Act 24) and Act 168 clearance (Precision will provide these forms for the candidates to complete)
- Pre-employment physical and TB test required (neither should be more than 1 year old)

Additional Requirements:
- Must have either a HS diploma or GED
- It is preferred candidates have some experience in custodial/janitorial work, cleaning, hotel/housekeeping, etc.
