Position Overview:

A Busser works primarily in the dining area of a restaurant or eatery. They move back and forth between these areas attending to diners and assisting waitstaff with their duties. A Bussers duties and responsibilities include:

• Removing used plates, glasses, cutlery,and napkins from tables after diners are done eating
• Wiping up water spills, food stains,and dirt from tables
• Straightening out the tablecloth or replacing stained ones
• Replacing cutlery and glassware in anticipation of new diners
• Refilling paper napkins, salt and pepper shakers,and any other depleted condiments on the dining table
• Refilling drinking glasses with water
• Bringing out meal orders if waitstaff are busy
• Handlingthecleaning of the dining area at the close oftheday

Requirements:

• Must be a minimum of 16 years old.
• Must either be enrolled in high school OR under 18 years old.
• Must have experience or knowledge in specified programs.
• Must be able to operate industrial machinery and carry loads up to20 lbs.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must possess and display strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and practice independent judgment.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
• Must be able to work inahot, humid environment.
• Must be able tostand on your feet for4-8 hours.
• Must be able to interact successfully with all levels of staff, clients,and vendors.
• Must be able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Must be able to pass a Reference Check, Background Check,and Drug Screen.
• Must have strongproblem-solvingand communication skills.
