Coordinate daily workflow, scheduling, and training of Recovery Coaches. Serve as a personal guide, and liaison for individuals with substance use disorders identified in the Emergency Department or in WVU Medicine affiliated treatment settings. Support patients by assisting them with identifying treatment needs, developing, maintaining, and monitoring individualized treatment plans, and supporting patients to remain in treatment. Provide outreach, support, recovery check-ups on site in the Emergency Department, in treatment at CRC and in the community and functioning as part of a treatment team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. High School Diploma or equivalent 2. Completion of minimum 40 hours of state recognized Peer Recovery Support Specialist Certification training in specific domains through a nationally recognized training program 3. West Virginia state and Federal criminal background check required for DHHR WV CARES regulated area 4. Bureau of Medical Services Peer Recovery Support Specialist Certification or WVCBAPP certification within 6 months of employment. EXPERIENCE: 1. Two (2) years' experience as a Recovery Coach or in a related role.

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Valid Driver's License 2. WVCBAPP Peer Recovery Certification 3. Certificate of completion of the CCAR Recovery Coaching in the Emergency Department. 4. Active participation in the recovery for two or more years and current active attendance at peer community recovery support meetings.

  1. Create bi-weekly Recovery Coach shift schedule.
  2. Oversee training and documentation of Recovery Coaches.
  3. Coordinate Recovery Coach service provision outside of the ED such as with the Heart and Vascular Institute and the long-term antibiotic services.
  4. Run weekly patient reports in EPIC on patients seen by the recovery coaches in the Emergency Department.
  5. Work actively with patients with Substance Use Disorders identified in the Emergency Department or other WVU Medicine treatment settings Help link patients to outpatient treatment.
  6. Provide mentoring through life-experience to individuals experiencing substance use problems.
