Atlantic Health System PER DIEM, Patient Care Technician I, Head & Neck Surgery in Morristown, New Jersey
Accountabilities:
The Patient Care Technician I - could be responsible for greeting and preparing for patients, managing patient flow, completing patient intake into EPIC system, and maintaining exam rooms including cleaning and keeping inventory/ordering supplies.
Administrative responsibilities may include managing phones and scheduling patients when needed, patient registration and check-in/out, handling patient prescriptions and pre-authorization for diagnostic testing as well as directing patients in all phases of their experience with the practice.
The Patient Care Technician I could be responsible for assisting with the pre-operative testing and clearance workflow. This could include requesting applicable testing, scheduling appointments and remaining in contact with surgical patients.
This position may require extended working hours, including late evenings and travel among all of our current and future sites.
Required:
High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred:
Two years medical office experience preferred
Experience with an EMR system desired (preferably EPIC)
Able to work flexible hours if necessary to accommodate practice hours
Ability to travel to different practices if necessary
Strong computer skills and front-line customer service skills essential
