Summary:
The Chaplain is a member of the health care team, providing services for the pastoral/spiritual needs and education of patients, families, team members. The chaplain is knowledgeable in the areas of theology, spirituality, and pastoral care. The chaplain is competent to perform pastoral care functions as needed to support the spiritual and emotional health and well being of those served. Ecclesiastical Endorsement is Required. Catholic Priest chaplains must have Faculty for Sacraments from the Local Ordinary of the Roman Catholic Diocese/Archdiocese. 400 hours, 1 Unit, of Clinical Pastoral Education is required.
