MOSES LAKE GOLF CLUB Head Chef in MOSES LAKE, Washington
Pillar Rock Grill is looking for a culinary expert who can provide supervision over kitchen staff members and ensures that the restaurant 's menu items are prepared with efficiency and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Culinary Operations for restaurant capacity of 400 guests (individual and banquet style dining).
- Operate on a high-volume line cooking, product presentation, menu creation/costing and implementation, cost control and purchasing support including inventory and auditing food storeroom items.
- Maintaining cleanliness, organization, safety, and sanitation of all culinary areas.
- Contribute to organizational schemes involving apprenticeship development.
- Carry out kitchen administrative duties.
- Ensure servings have very high culinary standards.
- Oversee food storage and purchasing.
- Ensure hygienic and safe kitchen environment.
- Creativity with menu and development of recipes.
- Participate in recruitment process of prospective chefs.
- Participate in training and retaining of junior chefs.
Requirements:
- Willingness to work long hours.
- Ability to teach ethics and procedures for kitchen.
- Ability for effectiveness, when under intense pressure, and to remain calm even when all around is a bedlam.
- Flair with and passion for different types of ingredients.
- Ability to lead and direct others to get the job done as required by the clients and establishment management.
- Ability to motivate kitchen staff and ensure they produce results even when the working environment is not entirely conducive.
- Possession of first-class culinary skills.
