Delco Development Staybridge Suites General Manager in Mount Laurel Township, New Jersey

Position Overview:

The General Manager provides daily manager of all aspects of the hotel and must have an absolute Commitment to provide highest quality service to our guests. The position analyzes hotel financials, provides accurate and timely reports, generates new and repeat business in alignment with sales goals, maximize profits by practicing stringent cost controls to include labor costs through proper training and scheduling. The General Manager also guides the hotel in a positive direction understanding the diverse workforce and proactive recruitment of qualified candidates; manages brand training; understanding human resources, and regulatory agency requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

∙ Willingness to accept the most effective role

∙ Maintaining proper staffing levels

∙ Must lead by example and role model the expected behaviors while projecting a sense of urgency in responding to guests needs

∙ Achieving sales goals as stipulated by corporate office

∙ Ensure proper cleanliness levels via property inspections

∙ Ensure proper security for staff and guests

∙ Development of departmental budgets

∙ Controlling expenses

∙ Preparation of financial reports for owners and management

∙ Checkbook accounting practices

∙ P & L compliance

∙ Oversight of all administrative and financial operations of the hotel

∙ Developing and implementing RevPar index

∙ Revenue management / ADR

∙ Achieving occupancy goals

∙ Development off sales strategies

∙ Responsible for F & B operations

∙ Maintaining brand standards

∙ Keeping management and employee training current with corporate and brand standards ∙ Human resources duties to include hiring, employee counseling, progressive disciplinary activity, and terminations

∙ Read and interpret STAR reports and analyze trends

∙ Develop revenue management strategies

∙ Train and develop subordinate managers for future expansion

∙ Maintain the physical asset to corporate and brand standards

∙ Must respond to voice mail messages within four business hours, and outgoing voice mail greeting must state that calls will be returned within four business hours

∙ Other duties as specified by corporate on an "as needed" basis

Qualifications:

∙ Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a hotel General Manager

∙ Must be enthusiastic and energetic with a passion for hospitality

∙ Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

∙ Proficiency in computers to include; Microsoft Word, Excel, and other hotel operating systems ∙ Proven track record for successful Guest Satisfaction, Quality Assurance review, and STAR ratings ∙ Excellent oral and written communication skills

∙ Thorough understanding of accounting practices
