Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to conduct testing and inspections during the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Each day, you will execute the assigned work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines and report any non-compliance. You will also showcase your expertise by performing tests or checks by following procedures and instructions defined in manuals and test scripts.The work model for the role is onsite #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Motion business in US.You will be mainly accountable for:*Performing physical pre-testing activities for newly developed products to ensure product quality and validating manufacturing processes.*Assisting the team in performing all required checks as part of the Factory Acceptance Testing process.*Inspecting and troubleshooting any identified issues, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.*Maintaining accurate testing records, data, and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality management systems.You will join a dynamic and talented team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

  • Basic Troubleshooting and debugging skills using scopes and digital meters.
  • Collect test data and reporting using available tools and automation.
  • Perform high power testing tasks like Hi-Pot, semiconductor and continuity verification.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Test, and Electrical Engineers to absorb directions and flag roadblocks.
  • Collaborate with Quality to improve processes eliminating defects from production and improve test efficiency.
  • Adhere to ISO 9000 quality system.
  • Help monitor and update equipment to meet current and future test requirements. Specify, coordinate, and execute purchase of lab supplies and equipment.
