Mount Airy Casino Resort Dealer School Student in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania
Mount Airy's Dealer School is a 6 week, hands-on course taught by us, free of charge! You will start off by learning blackjack from experienced dealers in the field, but have the option to expand your knowledge to other games once you join the Mount Airy Team by taking other classes internally. The classes run four days a week, Monday thru Thursday including holidays at 37PM-812AM or Weekends 8AM-4PM. Attendance and punctuality are very important. The state requires 100 hours of instruction and if any time is missed it must be made up to receive a certificate.
Dress Code - Dress code in class is black pants and a white dress shirt. - White long sleeved button-up shirt - Black khaki or dress pants - No yoga pants, sweat pants, or leggings - Black belt - Black closed toe shoes -- dress shoes, loafers, heels, or sneakers - No flip flops or sandals
After the Course - After successfully completing the 5 week course, you must pass a live audition. - To work as a dealer in the state of PA you're required to have a gaming license. - Upon certification and licensing, applicants may be offered a part time (or "on call") dealer job. - Starting pay is $4.75/hour + tokes, but typically can make up to $24 including tips. - Part timers will be scheduled 3 days per week on a normal week, holiday weeks may be more.
