Job Responsibilities

1. Serves as Regional Liaison for B.H. Consent Decree Implementation; Serves as regional representative for B.H. Implementation, monitoring the sub-regional portion of statewide DCFS initiatives; Confers with his/her counterpart to analyze methods and procedures within his/her respective areas and make recommendations for the revision of existing policies and establishment of new statewide policies; Advises the Executive Administrator of B.H. Consent Decree Management and Executive Deputy Director on the feasibility and impact of proposed procedures and operations; Composes a variety of special reports on adequacy and efficiency of operations for the Administrator; Develops, implements, analyzes, and evaluates research, analysis, and training initiatives designed to affect operational practice; Provides input into the development of statewide guidelines based on findings.

2. Serves as liaison with executive and judicial branches of government, private organizations, other state agencies, and the general public; Exercises considerable authority within assigned areas of responsibility in representing the Department in contacts with other agencies and outside entities; Facilitates time-limited, outcome-focused meetings including families, caregivers, community representatives, service providers, and agency staff; Guides meeting participants through a discussion of concerns, areas of strength, and development of ideas; Provides documentation of meetings and makes recommendations to the Administrator and Executive Deputy Director based upon meeting results; Drives or travels to various locations in the performance of duties.

3. Plans, manages, and coordinates evaluations of Department and/or service provider programs and services; Interviews internal and external stakeholders to evaluate the quality of services being provided by the Department; Confers with management on objectives of the evaluation; Provides information, recommendations, and implementation support based on study results.
